July Update 2025

Dear Friends,
What a powerful month of ministry! Thank you for standing with us in prayer, encouragement, and support. July has been full of gospel encounters, meaningful connections, and exciting momentum. Here are the highlights:

Five Oaks Water Day – July 2
A great day of ministry with our campus missionary team, combining water fun with gospel outreach to children, youth, and adults. Seeds were planted, and hearts were touched.

Third Ward Outreach – July 23
We partnered with campus missionaries and gospel hip-hop artist Justin DeGeorge for a vibrant day of outreach—sharing Christ, face painting, playing ball, serving snacks, and reconnecting post-COVID. Cuney Homes leadership has been very welcoming, and doors are wide open for more ministry and discipleship. Please pray for continued favor and fruit.

Footprints on Campus – August 11–15, 2025
Join us in a national prayer effort for 67,000 schools and 1,200 juvenile facilities.

We’re asking friends to:
1. GO – Prayer walk a local campus or facility
2. GROW – Adopt a campus for year-round prayer
3. GIVE – Support campus outreach and missionaries

220 Camp – Waxahachie (July 7–11)
Hosted by my home church, Declaration, this was a powerful week of worship, fun, and spiritual growth. I had the joy of mentoring youth pastors and leading worship with one of the teams. Many lives were deeply impacted!

Lead Camp – Austin
At Highland Lakes, I shared with 80+ student leaders preparing for 9-month campus missions. While there, Carol and I heard ongoing reports of the recent floods. We activated prayer teams and helped connect Texans on Mission with resources.
A unique opportunity arose through Dr. Scott Stripling (The Bible Seminary) to connect a Jerusalem Post reporter with Texans on Mission to share the Christian response—an open door to testify of Christ’s compassion to Israel.
Strategic Connections & Ministry Growth

  • Met with Miguel Faundez and Mark Alexander to explore a potential NNYM alliance with NXT Move DFW—a big step for regional impact.

  • Planning is underway for Fields of Faith in October, a student-led evangelism event.

  • Met Ashley Jones, the new First Priority Director for North Houston, who shared her team’s strategy. It's exciting to see local chapters join the mission!

  • God is building the NNYM Texas team—with new volunteers stepping up in prayer, admin, marketing, campus ministry, and conference support as we gear up for Fall.

  • Updated Discipleship Resource
I completed a full revision of the Moving Toward Maturity Leader’s Guide (Barry St. Clair’s 5-book series). These updates make it more user-friendly, practical, and accessible for student leader development.

  • How You Can Join Us

  • Pray for ongoing outreach, especially in Third Ward and Five Oaks.

  • Mark your calendar for Footprints on Campus: August 11–15, 2025.

  • Lift up student leaders as they begin the school year.

  • Support the growing ministry and new partnerships.

  • Pray for my upcoming trip to Manila in September, where I’ll join 25 youth ministry strategists representing North America to share resources, best practices, and vision with leaders globally.

  • Pray for hearts to be open as we prepare for See you at the Pole in Septemeber.

Thank you again for your faithful partnership. Your prayers and support are bearing eternal fruit as we reach this next generation with the hope of the gospel.

Gratefully,
Rick

Thank you all again for your love and support.
